Abstract

Data for this report is provided by eight paediatric ICUs and 16 general ICUs (admitting predominantly adults), plus one combined NICU/PICU. These ICUs are based in metropolitan or regional hospitals in Australia and New Zealand.Information collected includes demographic data, the diagnosis directly responsible for ICU admission, as well as underlying and additional diagnoses, the ICU outcome, hospital outcome, and length of stay.
