Overview
National Nursing Consortium: Specialty Standards Endorsement
In April 2011 The New Zealand Nurses Organisation, College of Nurses Aotearoa, Te Ao Maramatanga (NZ College of Mental Health Nurses) and Te Kaunihera O Nga Neehi Māori o Aotearoa (National Council of Māori Nurses) formed a consortium to provide for a national endorsement process of specialty standards and knowledge and skills frameworks (KSF).
Specialty nursing groups seeking wider national recognition of their standards or KSF may make application to the consortium for this recognition. The consortium assesses applications against criteria determining specialities of practice, content requirements and process for development.
