Overview
Welcome to the Health Improvement and Innovation Resource Centre (HIIRC), your one-stop shop of trusted health information, latest research, and exemplars of best practice.
It is a resource to help you improve New Zealand’s health care system.
The Ministry of Health established HIIRC in 2010 to improve the health and wellbeing of New Zealanders by sharing examples of innovation and quality improvement, and by making New Zealand research more available to people working in health.
You now have access to HIIRC’s extensive Knowledge Library of research literature, directories of individuals and organisations, a range of improvement tools, and the latest news about events and projects. Topics covered by HIIRC include hospital productivity, primary health, access to elective services, diabetes, and cardiovascular services.
You will find information relevant to your work in health, whatever your specialty. Please bookmark the HIIRC website and encourage your colleagues to visit.
We also encourage you to share your own professional experience and insights with other clinicians, researchers and policy-makers on this site.
Please contact the HIIRC team via email at , if you have ideas for articles and case studies, queries about HIIRC, or technical difficulties accessing any of the resources on the HIIRC site.
