Clinicians’ perceptions of telemedicine: Opportunities and barriers for emergency medicine

This descriptive study explores clinicians' perceptions of telemedicine and the barriers and opportunities for a rural or remote emergency department. Semi-structured interviews were undertaken with a sample of healthcare professionals working in emergency services for the West Coast District Health Board. Expert opinion was also sought from four sites using telemedicine in Queensland, Australia.
