A quality framework and suite of quality measures for the emergency department phase of acute patient care in New Zealand
posted by WM Admin on 28 March 2014
This publication from the National Emergency Departments Advisory Group suggests a quality framework including a common suite of measures. DHBs will be expected to use these measures to improve the acute patient journey, thereby improving patient experience. Emergency departments and district health boards all currently monitor a range of different measures. The only mandatory common measure to date has been the Shorter stays in Emergency Departments health target. This publication provides a suite of common measures.
