Abstract

This paper is one of a series resulting from a project to evaluate the implementation of the New Zealand Primary Health Care Strategy. The evaluation has included interviews, surveys and the collection of data from practices’ electronic patient management systems (PMSs). This report is derived from PMS data and examines the level and change in fees and consultation rates from 2001 to 2007. A national random sample of 99 practices provided data for the study.
