Ethnicity and risk of lower limb amputation in people with type 2 diabetes: A prospective cohort study

This study investigates the risk of amputation among patients with type 2 diabetes among different ethnic groups in New Zealand. After adjusting for demographic and socio-economic variables and compared with Europeans, Māori had the highest risk, whereas East Asians and South Asians had the lowest risk. The authors discuss the implications of these findings.
